Im in school so I dont have money to get a new car but I have nice subs and a powerful amp, and there are no after-market radios that i know of fit in the 96' taurus. Will their be RCA port on the reciever? If not can i buy a converter of some sort that will make an RCA port, so i may trigger my amp via the radio? Thank you!

You CAN install an after-market radio into a 1996 Taurus, using a mounting kit like this one: http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/sjgreatdeals101_1945_155620885

There are no RCA outputs on the stock radio. There aren't even any speaker wires behind the stock radio unit; to get to the speaker wiring, you have to go to the factory amp/tuner under the liner on the left side of the trunk. You can use a line-out converter tapped into the speaker wires there, and it will provide RCA outputs for your amp; or you can use an amplifier with speaker-level inputs, which can be tapped into the wires at the factory amp or at the speakers themselves.

There probably won't be a stock sub-out port, but alot of amps have line-in jacks that allow connection to the rear speaker channels.

certain amps have line-level inputs built in. there are also line-level to RCA converters, but it is just easier to get the amp with it built in.

I wouldn't suggest sticking with any part of the stock radio though... except the antennae.

dude i got a 98 tarus and i put one in. you just need to buy a faceplate . the circle thing witht he ac/heat ect on it. it gooes about 60-100 bucks lol. most decks will fit with that faceplate, it just is a circle witht he nobs and stuff with a rectangle in the center for your deck.

heres one at circuit city, kinda pricy i recomend looking around more-best buy was like 70 i think
