The true church is the body of believers worldwide. They are those who have been cleansed by the blood of Christ after they repented of their sin. They live to love and serve and honor Him above all things and to bless and minister to others. They are known as the body of Christ.

So far, Eric T appears to be on a good track. So, let's look at these 17 qualities that I believe what Christ's true church should have:

1. Christ organized the Church
Eph 4:11-14; Psalm 127:1

2. The True Church must bear the name of Jesus Christ
Acts 4:10-12; 1 Corinth 1:12-18, Eph 1:22-23, 5:23-24

3. The True Church must have a foundation of Prophets and Apostles
Psalms 11:3; Matt 10:1; Luke 6:13, 11:49; Eph 2:19-20

4. The True Church must currently have the same organization as Christ's Church (i.e. living Prophets and Apostles)
1 Corinth 12:27-28; Eph 4:11-14; 1 Timothy 2:7

5. The True Church must claim Divine Authority
John 15:16-19; Acts 1:23-26; 13:1-3; Hebrews 5:4-10

6. The True Church must have no paid ministry
Isaiah 45:13, Micah 3:9-12; Acts 8:18-23; 20:34; 1 Corinth 4:12; 9:18; 2 Thessa 3:8; Titus 1:7, 11; 1 Peter 5:2

7. The True Church must baptize by Immersion
Matt 3:13-16; John 3:5, 23; Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:4

8. The True Church must bestow the Gift of the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands
Acts 8:14-17; 9:17; 19:1-7

9. The True Church must practice Divine healing
Mark 3:14-15; James 5:14-15

10. The True Church must teach that God and Jesus Christ are separate and distinct individuals
John 17:All especially vs 11; 20:17; Acts 7:55

11. The True Church must teach that God and Jesus Christ have bodies of flesh and bone
Genesis 1:27; 5:1; 32:30; Exodus 24:10; 31:18; 33:11; Matt 3:17; Luke 24:36-39; Acts 1:9-11; 2 Corinth 4:4; Romans 8:29; Phillip 3:21

12 The officiers of the True Church must be "called of God"
Exodus 28:1, 40:13-16; Deuter 34:9; Acts 1:23-26; 13:1-3; Hebrews 5:4

13. The True Church must claim relevelation from God
Proverbs 29:18; Jeremiah 36:All; Amos 3:7; Matt 4:4; John 16:13; 2 Timothy 3:16; James 1:5

14. The True Church must be a Missionary Church
Ezek 34a;11; Jonah 1:2, Matt 4:19; 10:6; 11:1; 28: 19-20; Mark 3:14; Luke 9:2; Acts 5:42; 10:42

15. The True Church must be a Restored Church
Isaiah 2:2; 11:11; Jeremiah 31:31; Daniel 12:44-45; Malachi 3:1; Acts 3:19-21; Eph 1:10; Hebrews 7:11-12; Rev 11:3; 14:6

16. The True Church must practice baptism for the dead
1 Corinth 15:21, 22, 29

17. "By their fruits ye shall know them."
Matt 7:20; Galatians 5:22-23

If there are any other qualities that fit nicely with these, I'd like to hear them. Just remember "logic" alone does not fully define all things spiritual and holy. The Spirit of God must be tapped into to truly discern good from bad.

Thanks,
Alvin R.

God true church have to have these quality.

Revelation 12:17 And the dragon (devil) was wroth with the woman (church), and went to make war with the remnant of her seed (people), which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

1. It will appear and do its visible work after it emerges from the wilderness in 1798 (Revelation 12:6, 13-17).

2. It will teach the same truths the apostles taught, and all of its teachings will agree with the Bible (Revelation 12:17).

3. It will keep the Ten Commandments, including the Bible Sabbath (Revelation 12:17).

4. It will have the spirit of prophecy (Revelation 12:17; 19:10).

5. It will proclaim God's three end-time messages with a loud voice (Revelation 14:6-14).

6. It will be a worldwide movement (Revelation 14:6).

7. It will teach the everlasting gospel, which is salvation through Jesus Christ alone (Revelation 14:6)

The thing is nobody can't agree with whats god true church but there is one who hold these qualities...if your church don't have these qualities than you know its not the True church.

The true church is God himself. In Revelations it states that in heaven there will be no structural church/monastery because there is no need, God is omnipresent there and is he himself the church, as well as the "body of Christ" (his believers) who will become one with him finally and have Christ as their head.

Church as we know it on earth is a place of fellowship, a meeting place to gather together and worship God. It's not essential in any way to worship or pray to God, or fellowship with other believers. This can be done anywhere, and at any time.
