There's someone who has already tried. Few people have heard of him, and I can't say as I'm too saddened by that, as I seriously disagree with his views.
Personally, I expect it to be a very long time before an open Pagan gets anywhere near being considered a serious candidate. You'd need someone exceptionally charismatic, very politically adept, rich, and likely fairly conservative - which would likely put this person at odds with large portions of the Pagan community who have issues with "the Establishment". On top of that, there's going to be smear campaigns from other candidates that make the Swift Boat stuff look like a tea party.
If the candidate had good views that I could back, sure, I'd vote for her/him. But I'm not going to hold my breath waiting.

A chance at winning - no way. The Jewish and Christian lobbies would join forces and would bury that candidate. Too much political power in those PAC's.
If that candidate was in sync with what I believed, sure, I'd vote for them. Religion is between God and that Person, not between that Person and Me.

I seriously doubt if a openly pagan candidate would stand a chance. Just the smear campaign will crush them in a second.
As for myself I look at the persons integrity and political views. Not at his personal religious beliefs.

The candidate would never win. I think it would be hard for someone of any religion other than Christianity to become US President at this time.
If I thought the candidate was the best person for the job, I'd vote for him/her.

As long as a candidate was the best person for the job the religious beliefs do not factor in at all. So yes, I would vote for them.

If the person is the most politically qualified they will get my vote regardless of what religion they are or aren't.

No way on the first. Possibly even less chance than an atheist.
On the second, sure.
