I think it was very fitting, how Gordon honored Dale Sr. immediately after the finish. Jeff and Dale were great friends off the track, and they respected one another, not only as rivalries, but also as friends. I sure miss Earnhardt Sr., and Jeff's display of his flag was a great way to rekindle memories of him on and off the track. Way to go Jeff!

All in all I can't stand Jeff Gordon. Yet his tribute to Dale Sr. was pretty f-ing sweet. It was pretty awesome when Jr. came over tyo thank Gordon for the tribute. Jeff did change the game a little when he came. Now drivers cry when they get bumbed just like ol Jeffy taught them. The truth is that if Sr. was still around have these driver's wouldn't be they, wouldn't be able to hang. They would be crying so hard. Jeff has done his thing 76 wins and 4 championships, but no matter how many races he wins or championships he will never be a Sr., Cale Yarborough, Richard Petty, Darrell Waltrip. Those guys got the crap beat out of them and didn't have the technology they have now. They are true race car drivers.

I'm not a Jeff Gordon fan, but I do have to admit that his tribute to Dale, Sr. was sort of a class act. Unknown to a lot of Sr. fans, Jeff and Dale,Sr. had a rivalry on the track but were friends off hte track.

I think it was a good thing. Jeff and Dale were buisness partners and good friends. Even though most Dale Sr. fans would think otherwise. But thats how Dale and Jeff wanted it. It made them more money. At first Dale didn't think much of Jeff but Jeff earned his respect. Jeff was just honoring Dale thats all.

It was befitting from one racing LEGEND to another racing LEGEND. And yes, Gordon will go into the history books (right along with SR. and a few others) as one of the best drivers ever. A lot of you out there don't want to hear this but it is VERY TRUE. The late GREAT had a lot of respect for Jeff and he is the man who gave Jeff the nickname of Wonderboy. They had business dealings together and they both had a great deal of respect for one another. So I think Jeff showed that he is a true GENTLEMAN and a CLASS ACT.

When I heard them say they had a special flag for him, I thought it was going to be a Virginia Tech flag. The Dale tribute was nice I suppose, but I would have liked to have seen a VT flag instead, or maybe both together...

Ya know -- That was a very classy thing for Jeffy to do. No matter if you like the guy or not. That is sportsmanship right there !!!!! I'm not a huge Gordon fan, but, hey, you gotta like the guy for that little push. Awesome race!
Go Tony!!!! (yaaaaa!)

Talk about respect, it was awesome. Most drivers would have "climbed the fence" or flew the checker but what Jeff did was great. A tribute to a Man by accomplishing his stat is by far the best way to show respect.
