I want an honest critique of things that Christians sometimes (or often) get wrong today. I'm not bashing Christianity. I am a Christian. But Christians are far from immune to 'getting things wrong'. I think the Christian God is true and everything, but I know the Christian RELIGION, and all religions, are formed by humans (thats why we have so many different denominations and varying doctrine). Big historical mistakes of the Church were the Crusades and the witch hunts. What big/small mistakes/failures are present in parts of the Church today?
I ask this question to see whether we Christians can be honest in our view of (some) churches and christians today. What areas do you think need to be worked on or changed?

The main thing wrong is that there are no gods. If you look into the history of all religions, you'll find they are all man-made. People are still pushing the superstition.

Religions make people morally lazy by dictating to them what is right and wrong while discouraging honest discourse on why they are right or wrong.

Religions, including Christianity, indoctrinate children and use emotional manipulation to gain and keep converts. That's why they push "faith" so much. They really have no substantial basis for their belief.

Of course, much of this emotional manipulation is harmful. Religions, including Christianity, really push an "us versus them" mentality. We're seeing the fruits of this in the Iraq war, Catholic versus Protestant conflict in Ireland, and other disputes around the world. We also see severe intolerance promoted by religions in the US.

Also, religion tends to push stupid laws based on their superstition. They tend to vote in blocks according to what their leaders tell them on the TV and radio, because they've been trained not to question them. There is an unwarranted bias towards religions in the media. Those critiquing religion are ostrcized.

...And there's much more I could list.

Cover up certain things in the church like child molestation or affairs. Failing to protect children from predators (in every church no just one in particular). Over spiritualizing everything instead of recognizing our humanity and dealing with what's right and wrong in both God and society standpoints. The church as a whole needs to stay humble and ready to repent and turn away from sin daily.

That wasn't finalised until eventually the 4C, under imperial path. yet there have been canon lists interior the 2C (Iranaeus) that have been rather the comparable, yet with a smaller set. the certainly canon incorporates some books that weren't universally common, ie the small ones including Jude or 2 Peter of uncertain authorship, or Hebrews which demands Jewish information, or Revelation it is complicated to comprehend. the certainly books have been probably written between 40 5 advert and one hundred ten advert max for the final.
