You mean QMA. It stands for Qualified Medication Aide. This person has taken a QMA course to understand basic medicines and has a certificate thru the State Board of Health. They are now qualified to pass medication. Generally in a nursing home.

Quadrature Amplitude Modulation. There are more than one independent signals on a single carrier frequency, out of phase or "in quadrature" with one another. It allows more than 1 "channel" to be placed in the bandwidth that 1 channel would normally occupy.

It is used frequently in digital cable systems to increase the number of channels they can carry.
