I havent noticed but everything makes me fart - the absolute worst for me is pasta. Also clear the decks after I've eaten roast chicken and beware if I've had coleslaw. You could try eating some of those new crisps that are baked, not fried, and that should tell whether or not its the oil that's making you fart.

Thank you for responding with the definition -- potato chips, they are called in America and crisps in England. I just came back from Costco, the warehouse store and they had packages of Crisps (really, that's the name of the product) they are introducing and were handing out samples: Assortment of sliced dried fresh fruits (really light and fluffy-- even the dried bananas which when dried, are normally hard and crunchy). Before I read your explanation, I was thinking, "Ah ha, that's what she is talking about." Wrong.

Try other brands of potato chips to see if it might just be the ingredient or process used by one manufacturer. Save all labels and note how your body reacted to them.

If you're having trouble digesting all, then you have to check and see which component you might be having trouble digesting: oils or potatoes. I hope you find a brand that is OK for you. Crisps do not make me fart and I love them too.

When we get older, it doesn't take much to make us fart. Now, since I'm older, I understand why one waitress I knew used to refer to elderly people (usually men) as "Old Farts."

I know pal it is a real problem isn't it. I reckon it's the oil but also those chemical flavourings that are used. Don't worry everybody farts sometime.

Must be just you... you might be eating the crisps made from Olestra. That's the oil substitute that came with a warning in very fine print about explosive diarrhea and anal leakage
