This is a set of guidelines / ideas that I think all Christians should pay attention to before they ask or answer questions. Feel free to comment and maybe add some ideas of your own.

Good points.

I'd add that humility will help people view you as open to hear them and their thoughts. We, as Christians, can listen without judging. We should listen without judging.

How about a few for atheists?

1) You don't know me personally, so you have no way of knowing how much research I've done or how deeply I've questioned my faith, so lay off the "sheep" and "brainwashed" comments. I'll admit that there are those posters who do exhibit such characteristics, but that doesn't mean all Christians do.
2) Don't do the above especially if YOU haven't critically examined the claims you posted, because then you're doing exactly what you're accusing Christians of doing. For example, don't claim that evolution has been proven just because "scientists say so".
3) Do some study on a passage or passages before commenting on them. Don't read things into the text that aren't there or ignore things that are in the text that invalidate your point. Learn what type of literature a passage is and how this influences how to interpret it and how to differentiate between literal and figurative speech.
4) Don't assume that Christian belief is monolithic. Ask what my beliefs are instead of assuming that people like Phelps, Falwell, etc. speak for me.

I did not click on your link. Since people freely get on the Religion & Philosophy section, bashing Christians, their beliefs and their God, you are no one to be establishing guidelines for what Christians should do, unless you establish guidelines for atheists, agnostics, muslims,--oh, the list goes on. (Incidentally, you've got your work cut out for you if you take on that endeavor.) It's just your way of trying to control the information that comes into this forum. Nice try, Mr. Censor, but freedom of religion still exists. And we'll exercise it. Oh, by the way, do not be offended by the capitalization of the word Christian and not the others. Christ is the reason I capitalize. There is no proper name in the other religions I mentioned here.

The question had been removed but anyway I should tell that we just have two cheeks, and don't understand why always people think that we, the Christians have to be more special than the special...we already had been, we are tired.

Oh come on, I love the fire and brimstone crowd! They, together with the young earth creationists are what draws me here. In Europe they are rare, almost on the brink of extinction. It's like a zoo trip.

Everything should be spoken in love- of course.
And yes hypocritical things should not be said-- I think many of us need to always pray that the Lord will be our "mouths" and gives us wisdom in what to say to others....
Think before we type!
And when we do say a "Did you Know" it must come out of love- and yes there are many questions that are worded wrong, that sound self righteous, and we need to avoid that.
