Why do people think it is just fine to beat a dog?? I've seen a few answers on here that said the owner should beat the dog and it was a serious answer!!!!. I even seen someone say kill the dog for misbehaving!!!! If I ever seen someone beat or kill a dog I'd for sure turn them in to the authorities!!!!

Well... Abuse is a huge thing... Dominating animals and people..
What's that saying about.. Thinking things then saying them, next thing you are actually doing them??? Can't think of it, but the jest of it is.. Once you think it and then actually say it, it makes it easier to actually do it.. So as dumb or benign as the stupid comments seem to be you have to wonder, once they've suggested animal abuse, are they actually going to go on and do it?
People tend to be more truthful when they think they are anonymous and no one will know it's them saying those things.... Running the ideas past strangers to see what they think about it..

BEAT A DOG NEVER!?!? its sick and wrong to beat a dog some ppl say that dogs dont have feelings or even feel stuff i even heard someone say that dogs dont have souls guess what dogs have feeling they feel stuff and they defintly have souls!! never ever beat a dog not only is it wrong and sick and all those other things you should beat them because they become scared of you u might think there being good but they are staying away plus if its a pitbull or german shepard they will BITE BACK DONT U EVER BEAT A DOG ITS LIKE ABUSEMENT

Yes I have seen it posted here also. If it was meant as a joke it is not funny at all. Abuse of any kind should never be tollerated. All living things have a right not to be abused. All living things feel pain. It is already known that once abuse starts with our own pets it is a short step to start with the people nearest to us.
I've seen animal abuse first hand and you bet I'd turn the people responsible in. In a heart beat!

Well look at it this way, those people who beat the dog, were most likely beaten themselves or completely neglected, I have a friend whom I cannot stand because of his treatment to his dog,( though he is a good person in other ways), he loves that dog dearly, he just doesn't know how to train it, or for that matter know anything about dog behavior or dogs themselves. But you look at him and where he came from, and you see how he got the idea in his head that beating a dog is the only way.
I know it's terrible, but it's the sad truth.

Some are being obnoxious idiots and think they are being funny. It is never funny to kid about such things and is a serious issue.
Animal cruelty is so rampant and heart breaking. I would rather see a poor animal on the side of the road after being hit by a car than to see one abused. I cannot understand why people abuse others whether human or animal.

I commend you. If I saw someone either beat or kill a dog I probably wouldn't get the chance to turn them in based on the probability that I would strangle them first.

Hopefully those answers are those that just like to fool around on the site, as we should all know that raising a hand to a pet, especially a dog only creates mistrust and teaches them absolutely nothing. Shame on those who think it works. God Bless.

because some people a just crule , some people may think this is a joke , but i for one find nothing funny about a dog or anything else being beat, they stat out beating on animals & then go on to beating little kids .

Beating a dog is a horrble thing-even killing them! They'd be better off giving them away to someone[trustable] or giving them to an animal shelter! I 100% agree with you!

Everyone aren't all serious but some do intend to beat their dog for something that they could control easily.
