Give it time. It will take a while before the new kitten is adjusted to its new environment.

Congrats on your kitten. It's still a baby and trying to adapt to alot of changes that are new the best way it knows how to. Just make sure to meet it's needs (food, water, clean litter) be patient, kind and talk to it in a nice, calm quiet voice. Gradually it will start to know that it's safe and you won't harm it and as it starts warming up to you..wanting to snuggle, get petted and purr..you will also see that it will start acting like a "normal" kitten..getting rambunctious and playful.

You put food down by you, but not too close. When kitty eats, you will be close by and eating (pleasure) and you will be associated. Every day you get the food a little closer.
Also, have a string and feather or something like that for kitty to play with. Don't approach, let kitty approach you. S/he will spend more time with you once s/he gets more comfortable. Eventually, s/he will allow you to approach.
There may have been a bad incident, and it will take patience, lots of it. S/he will get used to you, but not necessarily on your terms. S/he needs to approach you, not the other way around.

Kitten is lonely. Spend time with it. Make it feel comfortable in its new home. When the comfort comes, the crying will stop and it will be part of your family.

it must not be very use to people or maybe when it was younger it had a bad experience that it cant seem to forget about I would suggest socializing the cat but when you do so be calm, don't talk loud, and be relaxed, animals can read your body language and if you and everyone in the room are relaxed the cat will be to

Just love it. It's scared and you need to make it feel loved. Soon he will get used to it's new environment. Just take it slow and don't try to force it. Good luck with your new kitty!
