Click on File
Select 'Import and Export'
Click 'Next'
Select 'Import from another program or file'
Click 'Next'
Select 'Microsoft Excel'
Click 'Next'
Click on 'Browse' find your excel file
Click 'Next'
Select the 'Contacts'
Click 'Next'
Click 'Next'
Click 'Finish'

In Outlook, bypass to record/Export. If seem for a option to export to Excel. If there is one choose that and choose what you desire to export. If that selection isn't there, export to a CSV record (comma seperated values). In Excel open the CSV record and spotlight the column which you imported to and bypass to information/text textile to Columns. choose comma because of the fact the seperator and persist with something of the activates to alter the CSV record to an excel formatted record. save the record as an Excel record. it is all there is to it.

In Outlook, create a folder to receive the imports.
-click contacts (to highlight), then cl File, cl New Folder, follow prompts.
-In Excel, select and name the range of fields to be imported.
(To do this, select your headings and data only, cl in “name of cell” box, name the range, “enter.”)

-cl the folder you created
-cl File
-cl Import/Export
-cl from another program or file
-cl in this case, cl Excel
-cl Browse, go to the file from which you want to import (name full path) - STOP - you will see a dialog box advising you it will import the range you named -- the next step is important.

-cl Map Custom Fields - you will see your fields on the left, Outlook’s on the right.

-cl the + signs on Outlook's side to display additional fields

-cl and drag your fields from the left, to the matching named field on the right.

For example, if you have a heading called Fname, and Outlook has a heading called Firstname, you would drag Fname and drop it on Firstname, and so on.
