do anyone agree that the U.S. can defeat china in war i mean though china does have alot of ground troops..we americans can use our battleships,Subs, and carriers to steam roll their navy in 3wks or more..and then bombard theirs coast lines with our cruise vessels..and launch a full scale aerial attack from bases in the Philippines,S.Korea, Japan, and Long range stealth bombers from Australia, also with combine forces of s.korea, japan, australia, taiwain(also taiwain will attack) and the U.K.(british Pacific Command)..what do you guys think will happened b4 both countries uses nukes on one enother.??

Japan has no military. It was one of the conditions at the end of WWII. They only have a defensive force.
I think to beat China we would have to cut off their supplies. That would be the only way.

No. When major nuclear powers go to war, there's little chance of a winner emerging. In a conventional war, neither side could successfully invade the other - China's standing army is just too big, America's navy & air force would stop a Chinese invasion. Beyond that, any smaller conflict couldn't be called, it'd depend on the situation, and how much each side was willing to commit.
But, neither nation is likely to go to war with the other. They are rapidly becoming too interdependent for that. At some point, the US probably will stand back and allow China to retake Taiwan, for instance - be it politically, as with Hong Kong, or by force.

America had a clear technological advantage. But this alone doesn't win wars. Just consider the U.S. war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Can anyone clearly say that we are victorious in Iraq and Afghanistan or predict when those wars will end?. We've been fighting those wars for four years now and yet there seem to be no end of the wars in sight. This is despite the fact that we have far superior weapons, technology, logistics, etc..
Now, consider China which is many times larger than Iraq, has a far more disciplined army, and more modern weaponry. It is true that the U.S. has a lot of hi-tech weaponry (battleships, subs, carriers, missile systems, stealth bombers, etc.). But don't you know that all of these hi-tech war machines all rely on space satellites for GPS guidance, navigation, command and control?. The Chinese had shown that they can already knock-out satellites in space (thus our technical advantage is nullified). For how can you direct cruise missiles to their targets without GPS guidance systems?. How can you coordinate theaters of operation if centralized command and control is broken?. Even the Stealth bombers has to revert to the old fashioned radar-guided navigation to find their way through, which means that they can now be detected on the ground by radar receivers. Such will be the scenario once we lost our satellites in space (which are the very heart of all our high-tech weaponry).
So, do you still think that we can beat China so easily, once we have been forced to fight on equal terms with them?.

China has no way to invade America. We on the other hand DO have the capability...
In a non-nuclear war ( where we all lose), China wouldn't stand a chance. And they know it. As far as the size of the Chinese army....

You make it sound like a computer game. But I still think US will have the edge. China will have to wait a few more years to be equal with US in terms of military power...if we disregard nukes.

well U.S could probably defeat china but china is looking into a new way of fighting a war such as hacking through computers and taking us down economically and fincially and then we would lose.

Hold on guy, you've been watching too much TV. For one we don't have battleships anymore, and will be most likely our subs that clear the way for us. We have no bases in the philippines anymore. A game how quaint, it would go nuclear and the whole world die, good enough.

What a horrible thing to contemplate. Horrible.
It's better to contemplate how America and China and other nations can co-exist peacefully in a way that everyone can benefit from their own labor and no one can unfairly exploit anyone else.

Likely flash point would be over Taiwan. The Taiwanese alone would sink the PRC navy and play holy hech with the PRC airforce. By the time we got there with our Navy, Taiwan would be secure and the Chinese would be bested severely.
