Typically, females go into heat about every 6-9 months, even after laboring puppies. Any time now!!

I have shih tzu also. She just had her fist litter of pups in Dec. She was 1 1/2 yr old and 2nd time she'd been it heat when we bred her. They usually go in heat about every 6 mo.

What is her normal cycle? Because dogs usually come in about when they would have if they didn't have a litter... If she's a 6 month girl and she hasn't been in yet - worry...

Never get her spayed right away have you never heard of pyometra

She shouldn't, get her spayed.
