sure fire way to test if someone likes you?

I've seen movies that say if they place thier glass close to you or if the body's are unconciously turned towards each other, that the person likes you -
what other ways, what other tests can I do to see if this guys likes me?
I have a maddening crush on this really sweet, really shy guy, the kinda guy you KNOW will not make the first move. To top it off, he has a g/f who doesn't appear to like him very much, but they've been together for 3 years.

He has a g/f but he never sees her and is always saying that she hates him and they don't like each other. He txts me everynight to talk about school and he waits for me after class to have lunch or study. He invited me to join his study group, but sometimes it's just him and me. I flirt with him a lot and he'll tease me back, but I don't know if he flirts the same way back. When we talk in a group, he holds eye contact steady and looks at me no matter who's talking. He'll stand/sit next to me or sit on the arm of my chair. Classmates are starting to comment on how much time we spend together. Today I was talking about how holding hands with someone helps when I have a panic attack and he responds with "let's insite a panic attack" does this mean he wanted to hold my hand? Does he like me as more than a friend? I'm so confused because he's so goofy, but shy and obviously insecure.
How can I tell if he likes me w/o asking him? I don't wanna piss off his g/f but I'd like to know!

I didn't read all of that, too long. But one rule of thumb is to NEVER ask a man if he likes you. Is it better to have him tell you his feelings about you instead of you asking, which he can't give an honest answer to anyways, forcing him to lie. It's not like he's gonna say, "no, I don't like you!" please, rarely do men do that. So he'd lie and then you'd be happy and he'd be miserable. So do him a favor by getting to know him more day by day and taking it slow. Possibly touchy flirting (like leaning on him when you laugh or touching his shoulder/wrist and keeping it there for a while when you want to get his attention) would help. From the way he responds to that touchy flirting will let you know if he likes you or not. Good luck.

There comes a time when all the flirting and games are not enough. If they are going on for a good period of time and he isn't doing that with anyone else, he could really like you too. I would find out more of why he still calls this other person his girlfriend if he says she hates him. That's just bazaar!! But it could also mean he would stay if she were nicer. It could also mean he isn't taking the hint. I would find out more about that and perhaps say something like " you are so enjoyable to be with, I can't imagine why your girlfriend doesnt love you..." or somthing to that effect. All this time together is a gift to find out more about him. Really look at who he is and how he makes decisions. You have the opportunity to get to know him. Right now you may be infatuated or falling for "the chase" so check yourself as well. If everything seems to be in place, ask him to join you doing something casual and see how it goes.....

If she laughs at your bad jokes, bats her eyes at you, giggles around you for no other reason than being around you, smiles brightly and uses a sing-song voice when talking to you not apparent while speaking with others....these are fairly certain indicators that she likes you. If she initiates unnecessary touching, for no mundane purpose like keeping you from falling, this is real interest. She's indicating a trust, and a desire to be responded to in like manner. She's telling you you make her feel secure enough to touch you, this is a very strong indication of her interest in you. Also, if she keeps touching herself while you are around, but not when you aren't, or plays with her hair in flirtatious ways, flipping her hair back and forth, and such, she is definitely into you. Then there is the sparkle in her eyes if she's got it bad enough for you. That sparkle in the eyes and a beaming smile means you are the man she is interested in. Best to respond fairly early on when a girl starts such things, or they'll feel that their advances were rejected, get hurt feelings, and move on. Be a gentleman in public, and a bit naughty when others aren't around, or who is around is close as family (but NOT family). Not rude, or pushy in any way, just, well, a little bit naughty, but PG naughty is all that is called for until you are both ready for more like an R rating. She will love your restraint, and respect you for respecting her. If you want long-term, that is the way to approach it. If you want a relationship simply as a means to gain sexual favors, be a pig, and only pigs will come around. Not adviseable, for your sake, if not theirs as well. wow wut a guy. well if you dont want to ask have a friend ask if he likes anyone @ school and have him/her guess who it is if they say your name and he blushes a little and gets all nervis or if he gets more talkative than usual you would know and every thing tht has happened so far seems like he really does like you oh and sometimes when his friends ask him he will denie it so my advice prolly isnt that great but itll work

seems like he definately likes you..... but you should wait for him to break up with his g/f cuz, if he goes behind her back with you, who is to say that he won't do that with you and somebody else?
