Michael, shall I tell how I stared a prayer schedule?

I stared at waking and at retiring to read a little bit of the Bible that I kept by my bed and talking to god about what I read and prayed. I would pray for World,community,family and personal situations and needs. I carried a little New Testanent with Psalms around with me in my back pocket and would pull it out at beginning of lunchbreak at work to pray for a minute or two-and then on the train to work. I would talk to god in my head or meditate on nature or buildings or people walking around when I would be walking alone .

If I could ask....How do you pray for family and personal needs, for instance? Do you mention people by name? Or do you say something like: Help that person out? Do you mention specific things?
