This girl at school was talking to her friends about another girl and this is what she said "She is so weird, she doesn't go out with anyone." So, she was saying that that girl is weird because she has never had a boyfriend. I am the same as that girl they were talking about. I don't go out with people in middle school because I think it is a waste of time. Doe this mean I am weird? Was anyone else like this?

Yes, I was like that. That does not make you weird. You do not have to date to be normal and you don't have to live your life to please other people. Do what you are comfortable with. It sounds like you are a very articulate and mature middle schooler. It is too bad you have to wait for your peers to catch up, some of them never will. Just stay true to yourself. It might be tough, and you might get some grief, but you are on the right track.

No, I don't think that you are weird at all. So who cares if you don't go out with anyone in middle school. What exactly are they doing anyway if they are "going out" Having their parents drive them to the mall and video arcade? It does seem like a waste to me, because it seems that those "relationships" (if you can even call it that) last only a few weeks any way. It seems like you are making the right choice. Don't go out with someone just to go out with someone, wait until you have found the right person that you want to be with

Hey sweetheart...I hear you. I know you are probably going thru some weird stuff right now especially about boys but here is the kicker...middle school boyfriend/girlfriend relationships do not work out period. They are just stepping stones for realtionships in high school or beyond. So don't worry about being weird for not having a boyfriend right now. Just wait till you get in high school before you start worrying about guys.

You are not weird. I don't think people in middle school should be dating anyway, they are way to young and thats how teen pregnancies happen. Wait until your last years of highschool or college even because your not going to find the "right guy'' in middle school.Until then concentrate on your school work because thats more important then a boyfriend anyway.

NO WAY, look your not weird or anything your friend is weird why would she be dating when shes so young, you, your so smart not to date at this age and stay that way and dont take your friends opinion take your own because the only opinion that matters is yours. I mean look after She sleeps with him everyone is going to call her a w*hore and you will be the pure girl that hasn't engaged any sexual relations or just any relations with other men. Having a boy friend at such a young age gives you a bad reputation you have to know that, stay without a boyfriend until you know you are ready remember stay smart.:)

I'm 52 now but I remember so well that I too was like you. I am happy now with my loving wife. My third I might add, because it took me this long to understand I should have waited for the right one not just anyone to come along. Learn from your elders you are no more weird than the people who said that about that "other" girl.

It is not weird. I was like that also. I really see no point in middle school girls dating because they are young and most likely the relationship won't last anyways. Besides, all young boys want is sex anyways so if you don't date then it will keep you out of trouble. Good luck.

"I think it is a waste of time" well yea it may be to you and to a lot of girls. You right now have other things going on in your life and you do not need a boy friend to to make you feel good about your self.... BE GLAD you are a rare on...... Dating time will come along when it is right for you

Relax, your still young. There will be plenty of time later to date so don't worry about it. You're not weird;I never dated in middle school either. They're just sluts as someone else said who want to pick on you but don't let it bother you, ok? =)

It is not weird. I didn't date until I was like 16 or so. It is cool to wait. There is so many cooler things to do in middle school then worry about boys.
