Hi, I'm one of those "Christians";
Why not ban it? Did you know that we are all losing our right to freedom of speech anyway? Yep:
Just in the last month, a law was passed stating that at work if you say the following phrases, you lose your job, pension, benefits, everything even if you worked there for 30 yrs. and are going to retire this friday:
Ready?
1. "family values"
2. "natural family"
3. "marriage" :
(the law states this is only an infraction if you are conversing about marriage between a woman and a man instead of speaking of marriage of anything or anybody in your conversation.
These are now called "hate speech", and most people don't even realize they are now illegal.
Sure, why not add "therefore" to it; I understand that before its all said and done,
very little will be able to be said without
a legal problem. Constitution? What
Constitution?
Welcome to the new America, which I call:
"The United States of the Offended";
The next law is called: HR1529, and is being called "the most dangerous legislation ever introduced in American History". This great bill caused the arrest of two 75 yr old grandmoms for handing out Bible pamphlets in front of their church.
This law reads that if you hand out Bible
passages that say homosexuality is against the laws of God, then you must agree with that writing. If you agree with whats written, they you must be thinking against homosexuality. If you are "thinking" against homosexuality, then you are "thinking hate".
This bill says that "thinking hate" is just as bad as comitting a hate crime, and therefore you are guilty of a hate crime.
If you mug and seriously injure an elderly woman, don't worry: you will get 33% LESS JAIL TIME for that serious attack, than you will if you commit a hate crime, which I remind you does not have to be a physical attack, just hand someone gay a Bible and you are jailed.
Oh, the two grandmoms? They are from our neighboring City Philadelphia, and they face 47 years in prison, each; that is the rest of their lives, for doing nothing.
Remember this: Freedom of speech and freedom of religion may not mean a thing to you, that is, until they decide to make something illegal that you do care about,
then what? I hope it never happens to you,
I really do. Those two nice old ladies could have been your grandma, or mine, and
this Country has always been great, mainly because of the freedoms we enjoy.
Well, the freedoms we DID enjoy.
Don't be too stupid to think that you are
immune to it all - you're not.

The twonks above clearly think that belief is the same as knowledge.One touches on the truth - no facts are absolute.But that is a notion that can be took to the extreme - define absolute.Are we taking it to the point where I cannot state as absolute fact that I exist?Or just that facts are simply accepted as truth by observable evidence. Seeing as 98% of the scientific community accepts evolution as fact,you are right in that it requires no belief.

I think your being silly a little bit. When did the human language become the Athiest's? But I get it, your angry because we get to argue back, and you're running out of good points...THEREFORE you turn to foolish ramblings as a defense mechanism. Seacrest out!

"your" tools guess what Galileo was Christian, Mendel (father of genetics) was a Christian monk, founder of the human genome project was Christian. Islamic people also made great strides in mathmatics and astronomy. So since science has been used by religious people much more intelligent than yourself i have to say they are not reserved for atheists.

Anti-intellectualism is only a thought process of a subset of religious people. To assume that all Christians have a substandard education and/or inferior logic skills is not only a logical flaw in and of itself, it is blatantly wrong. And arrogant. =)

Wherefore?
Incidentally, the word "therefore" occurs nearly 1000 times in the Bible. It is a very logical book, once you find the key to understanding it.

If someone is saying that he can 'conceptualize God', then he truly does not have any reason to be using words such as 'therefore'..he just isn't qualified.

Well, don't forget evidence, fact, theory, and hypothesis. Oh yeah, "the 2nd law of thermodynamics" is right out since they always screw that one up.
