My mum wont let me talk to my cousin because he has a drug problem. I know that sounds bad but hes my cousin and one of the best friends ive ever had! She wont let me talk to the guy i love for the same reason! My school friends and me just dont seem to get along! I go to a grammar school and nearly everyone there is bloody perfect. Take for example in an important gcse exam i got a B and i was very pleased about it. But then my teacher asks me if i wanted to re sit the whole exam again because she was expecting better results! My mum wont let me go out any more either because the school keeps calling up about me having behaviour problems and unauthorised absences! i know i shouldnt bunk school but i cant help it! i really need to get away from here i cant stand it! The only way out i can see is when i turn 18 and get to go to university! i cant wait that long and i dont know what to do because i really cant cope especially without my cousin and guy!
please help me work this out! thnx

Tell your mom that you really love your cousin. Some of my cousins and friends do drugs but thank god my mom still lets me hang out with them. Good Luck.

sorry to break it to you, but you're not going to get into a university by bunking school! I know everything seems worthless and useless now, but try to work hard and your dreams might not be out of reach! As for your cousin...hmmm..that's a difficult one...at this stage i can imagine that your mom thinks that your cousin has a bad influence on you (considering behavioural probs, bunking school, etc.) so if you work hard and keep up your end of the bargain, she might not worry so much!

Your mother is right to be concerned, but she is misguided. She should make sure you respect yourself enough not to bad those kind of bad choices. Try not to disobey your mom, but don't shun your cousin. He thinks to know you care. The same with the bf. Perhaps you two should take a break for now though.

I Know you have feelings for this guy. However, I'm a dad of two daughters and a former teacher. I would also not have allowed them to associate with a druggie.
What you can do is urge him to drop the drugs so he will meet with mom's approval.

No top grades, no university. You,ve got to straighten out your life. Druggies are not the answer. Avoid. Make a good new start, and don't be so hard on your school and your mum.

think about it from your mom's point of view. she's probably afraid that if you start hanging around with some one who uses drugs that you will use them too and you're already proving you can't be trusted by not going to school when you're supposed to. you need to start acting responsible and try having a talk with her about maybe being allowed to be around your cousin and guy after you've shown that you can be trusted!

Your mom is trying to protect you----you wont understand until you are a little older and mature
----why would you want to hang out with drug addicts?...they are a bad influence on you---focus on your studies so you can make something of yourself

u just have one way out sweety... build true confidence in ur mom that u dont get into drugs (she as a mom is obviously scared) and be regular to your classes... what ever u r saying to ur mom say truth n be honest..it helps a lot

okay i think you should tell your mom how you feel and even if she dosnt agree with you eventually things will work out for the best it may not be what you want but it will be best for you
