I need help! My bf lives in Oregon and I live in Ontario. He can't call me b/c he has no more minutes so I've been calling him for the past 2days now. From my cell phone it costs 25cents a min and we usually talk for 2 to 3 hours. What should I tell her if she asks or tries calling him? Please help.

Wow she is going to be pissed!!! I would tell her before she finds out and tell her you will do some odd jobs to help pay for it. If your responsible enough to have a boyfriend in Oregon, your responsible enough to pay for the phone calls. Good luck.

Wow, you're looking at spending $30 to $45 per phone call that you've made. Your mom is definitely going to notice that! Does your mom know that you have this boyfriend? If not, you need to tell her, and let her know that you have ran up your phone bill. If you're honest about it, you may not get into so much trouble.

Offer to work or do chores to pay off the high phone bill. Most kids don't realize this (I know that I sure didn't when I was a teenager) but parents aren't made of money.

You know, they still make calling cards. Some places you can buy one for $20 and it'll give you more than 700 minutes. I don't think they'd work from a cell phone, but you can use them with a land line. That might be something to consider for future calls.

As for the ones you've already made, you're going to have to face the music and let her know that you've racked up one heck of a phone bill. I'm guessing you'll be in big trouble.

I am so sorry but theres no way to get out of it, unless you say that your best friend just moved there and fill him on the details...but you might have to face the music in a month when the phone bill comes.....

Get rid of him as this will never work....and it is costing your parents a fortune for no reason. Hate to tell you this but I am just being honest and speaking from experience. Find someone closer to you and things will work out much better.

Tell your mom the truth.
