A lot of migraines are food related. If you find that eliminating cheese and chocolate helps, take out EVERYTHING with MSG. All three of those are high in glutamic acid, a naturally occuring neurotransmitter that enables cell firing. Too much, and the cells keep firing -- which is why those are common epilepsy and hyperactivity triggers as well.
It's hard. But once you've personally experienced the connections between your triggers and your symptoms, it gets easier. It's not 'I want my cheese', it's 'hmm, bite of cheese or three days of migraine?' That choice gets real easy then.

That is really too bad. Cut out red wine and any food containing nitrates also. That is most if not all processed meats. Yes it is a real drag, but so is a migraine. Chronic migraines can be debilitating and anything you can do to prevent it would be worth it. There are worse conditions and cures out there so be thankful if you can treat yours with just denying a favourite food. You need to replace it with another treat. But I don't know about chocolate. I personally think it is necessary to sustain life as we know it.

Well you can still get the chocolate taste if not the real thing by buying carob bars etc from the health food store. Some supermarkets sell carob easter eggs so maybe you can get carob bars there too. Cheese is something no-one's ever found a substitute for, though.

how horrid, i love chocolate and cheese is one of my favourites, it goes in and on anything savoury!
why don't you just try cutting down a little at a time until it gets better then you will know your limits. another tip is to not eat it in the evening, my brother used to get terrible headaches if he ate choc or cheese at night.

Sorry. I have no sympathy. I never sympathize over anything self-induced.
