I am planning a trip to Toronto this summer. July/mid August. Can you tell me of activities that are for children, 10 yrs and older and some reasonable sight seeing that would be fun to do as a family. Any amusement parks? beaches ?

number one thing you will probably want to see is the C.N Tower. There are many other things you can do, there is canada's wonderland which is about a half hour drive from Toronto, there is centre island for the kids, there are a lot of beaches (I wouldnt go in the water tho). Just walking around Toronto is amazing, you can go down young street which is cool. There is a ton of shopping and you can always check out a blue jays game.

There's the Ontario Science Centre, which also has an IMAX theatre.

Amusement Park.....Canada's Wonderland/Paramount Park
Ontario Place.....has a kid-themed park/playland.
Toronto Island Park, is ok for a day trip.
Toronto Zoo is a great day trip.

Enjoy your stay!
Guess great minds thing alike eh Carlos O? LOL

Your flight is from Vancouver to Toronto. those are 2 Canadian cities, and there's no stop overseas alongside the way. for this reason it truly is seen a loved ones flight. For loved ones flights, you do not desire a passport, yet you do desire to have some variety of authentic authorities identity with image. A motive force's license or heath card will in a large number of cases qualify. The airways desire to make useful that whoever the fee ticket is made out to is likewise the fellow boarding the airplane. And at the same time as your flight may fly over US airspace quicker or later alongside the way (for example, leaving Vancouver, flights bypass out over the bay and then turn counter-clockwise, straight away flying over Washington state) you not in any respect genuinely set foot on American soil.

The science museam on don mills road is set up for kids.

A boat trip around the island is good.

Also a city view bus trip will orient you and give you ideas for places to go.

Do NOT go to Yonge street. Too many street people.
