Cylindrical tank with a diameter=15m is used to store 1600m3 liquid benzene. so if the tank is to be maintained at p=290pa and radient flux=95KW/m2 then how do i calculate the venting rate... do i find the volumetric flow rate?? plz help ive been working on this for the past hour!

First you have to determine at what temperature benzine will have a vapor pressure of 290pa, and you have to determine the specific and total volume of the benzene vapor at those conditions.

Then you have to calculate the amount of the increase in volume of the benzene vapor when it is heated by your radiant heat source.

The increase in volume of the benzene vapor in 1 hour due to the heat source will be your venting rate.

where do you get your data for benzine?
