1. Why not. It's not something that litterally taught, but it is a concept that is generally understood and accepted. After all, families can be together forever, and marriage is a very sacred union. It only makes sense that God would be married too.
2. Satan and Jesus are Spiritual bothers, like we are all brothers and sisters as children of God. Satan has a father and that's God, last time I checked. 2 men with the same father are brothers. Is it such a bad thing they are? no, many times you get a good and bad brother.

Thanks for your sincere questions, it's nice to have someone asking instead of attacking!

1.Yes, God is Heavenly Father, why would there be no Heavenly Mother? But, at the same time it's more of a speculation than a teaching.

2. Yes, Cain and Able were brothers... the Bible talks about Satan falling from his glorious state with the father... "O, Son of the morning, how art though fallen?" Satan caused the war in Heaven, he is the ultimate apostate. God created everything, in the heavens and the earth. God created all of us... and none of us except Christ ever lived a perfect life... does this make God any less than He is? No, it makes him perfectly loving and just... he doesn't force anyone to accept Him.

Have an awesome day! :)

Rumor 1 - Yes, we believe this to be true although, as others have said, it is not spoken of in great detail. As Isolde said, the Image of Woman had to come from somewhere. And we believe that families are eternal and everlasting.

rumor 2 - Heb. 12:9, Acts 17:28, and other scriptures teach us that we are all spirit sons and daughters of God. Satan's original nature actually isn't discussed that much in the Bible, other than when he is spoken of as a "spirit" in Ephesians 2:2, as the prince or ruler of the "demons" in Matthew 12:24-26, and as having "angels" subject to him in Matthew 25:41. The whole description implies spiritual nature/existence. We can't imagine that anything originally evil was created by God, so therefore we come to the conclusion that Satan is a fallen angel, who once had a time of probation, but whose condemnation is now permanently fixed. ...Simply saying that "Christ and Satan were brothers" is a major distortion of LDS beliefs.

Sorry that so many non-LDS answerers were so sarcastic in their replies. I hope this helps. Feel free to e-mail me about any other questions you may have.

1.- I've never been taught, about it, but I've heard rumors about it. no really much though

2.- Yes. If God created everything within time and eternity even our own spirits (all spirits even good and evil). If Satan is not our brother or Jesus brother, then who created him, if Heavenly Father is the Father of ALL spirits?

Maybe for many people this doesn't make sense and they may think it's a blasfemy but if you think about it, you'll find out.

R1. No one TAUGHT this. But, some speculate and others believe it.

R2. Satan is NO one's brother. Lucifer was once the same as the rest of us, a spirit child of our Heavenly Father. But, when he rebelled, he fell from grace and became Satan andas such is no heir to God, or joint heir with Jesus Christ.

1) Still do - it has to do with our views on eternal marriages and family. We don't really address it much (even amongst ourselves) other than we think she exists, because not very many people would offer that idea as much respect as it deserves. I think God is practicing His own advice to "not cast pearls before swine" in that regard by not sharing much on this subject.

2) This is one of those red herring things anti people like to throw out a lot to make us look bad. We talk about God as our "Father" in heaven. We believe He is the father of all his creations including the angels (including the ones that fell - like Satan). Logically, if God is the Father of us all, that means that all of us - you, me, all those random people on the bus, all the angels, Jesus, and even the fallen angels are brothers and sisters. We do not mean by this that anyone else at all is a begotten son of God like Jesus is.

Sorry this answer is probably slightly previous due. I even have been on the Alpha path and picture they are meant to stick to the subject remember and not bypass off into their problems with Mormonism. probably they are able to have been praying for you if no longer the rest, and can point out this entire concern interior the prayers for the period of the path. probably the main suitable concern to declare in the event that they start up up on a load of "anti-Mormon" stuff is to attempt to get them lower back on subject remember. except you start up up blatantly attempting to transform others on the path, they gained't throw you off as this is meant to be an open communicate approximately Christian ideals.

Rumor 1 - I believe this is true but have not heard much regarding it as I am new to the church.

Rumor 2 - Yes, this is as we are taught.

If God created man in His image, in whose image was woman created? It is not rumor. Read the word of "Oh My Father" in the hymnal. Could He be our Father if He was single?

Read Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
