Heres the thing...
ok this past wednesday after church i walk outside and there is a bunch of people outside and suddenly this girl from my class that i have never talked to b4 says,
"Do you want to be my friend?"
i said, "sure what's your name?"
she said "holly"
then she looked over to her friends and they giggled.
PLease don't be rough with your answers.
ps she is pretty, shy, and soon to be 13 i think. I don't see her but on wednesdays.
i am 13, homeschooled, and like 5-10lb overweight, but not much.

You could ask what classes she takes at school and compare some of the things you study with the things she studies. Remember that all kids are pretty much the same - what are you interested in - the latest movies, the latest music? Do you volunteer at any community projects (the animal shelter, the library, service to the elderly?). Do you participate in any sports programs or anything? You could talk about the mall, her friends, parents. The usual. Good luck and God Bless.

I'm not sure why you felt you needed to explain that you like a girl a little overweight when asking what you should do. It shouldn't matter if she is to thin or more overweight, good friends come in all sizes. When you talk to her find out what things she likes as far as sports or activities in her school. Favorite movies, tell her your favorite movie and so on, see what you have in common to be friends.

Just be yourself. If you are interested in being her friend, then go for it! Either one of two things are happening:
1. She's into you and her friends encouraged her to approach you.
2. She was dared to talk to you and they're just playing around.
Either way you should just be the cool one and act like a friend.
Wow, I miss the world of the teens and pre-teens. Everything is so major! Just be glad you're not paying bills and worrying about health insurance and 401Ks.

I would be careful, because of the giggles the girls may be up to something. If they aren't up to something just talk to her about school and church and activities you both like to do. Just be her friend . . and see where that gets you. Good luck!!
