We teach that we are all brothers and sisters and children of God...because He created us. ... We teach that God created all things....then God created satan. does not that make him our brother, and Christ his brother, and God his father?

Satan started out as an angel so he is neither God nor man. Either way you look at it Satan is not the brother of Jesus or Christ. He was a created thing. And God is God. Jesus because he redeemed mortal man took the human which was a created thing to a higher level, above the angels.

Wow, lots of different ideas about satan and angels, etc, here. Interesting. I can see who on here are Catholic, protestant, Muslim, or LDS, just by their view of who and what Jesus Christ is.

However, in answer to your question: What is wrong with teaching that Christ and satan are brothers? Well, I don't think there is anything wrong with it, because I'm LDS.

I believe that we were all created/born spiritually to God before we were born to physical parents. This is how LDS view Jesus and satan as "brothers" - because they were both created by God as spirits, as we were.

The reason satan and devils are only spirits (and not physical, like us or Jesus), is because they rebelled against God's plan and we didn't. As a result, they didn't get bodies and we did.

Technically you are correct:

God created all things, the foremost being Jesus Christ. God then used Jesus, His "master worker" to create the angels in heaven, which is what Satan originally was.

Satan only became Satan the Devil, which means adversary or resister, after he coerced the first human couple into sin.

Because Lucifer was an angel created by God to work close to Him.... Jesus the Christ was concieved in a mortal woman(Mary) by God as The Father... God then indwelt the mortal Body of Jesus for the time he was on earth... Making Jesus The Christ both Fully God and fully man. Man was made just lower than the angels but those who make it to Heaven will be over the angels...... Lucifer rebeled against God and was cast out of Heaven along with a third of the angels who chose to follow him... The teaching of the mormon cult is a deception of satan, which is what lucifer is now called. All who follow that cult to death will be eternaly seperated from God in the same place satan will be condemened to... so they can call satan brother for all eternity if they so choose... or they can condemn satan for decieveng them.... it wont matter as it will be too late for all of them any way...

Technically no. Satan is not a human, thus not our brother. Satan is a creation of God, though what that means is different to different sects of christian thought. Satan is an Angel, a race different than ours. They were created first, before God created man, to serve God. God then created man, not to serve (having no choice) but to live (having choice). Satan was, to be honest, and example of a mistake, though no christian will admit that God is capable of making one. A being (thus an other, not of God but by God) but given no choice. It is little wonder that such a contradiction resulted in ultimate failure. God then created man, not to serve but with the choice of serving. Some choose to, some not. This brings us to a question of whether or not God is all knowing or all Good, but that's another question.

The angels, as Satan was once, are not considered children of God. Humans are considered children of God. Since Jesus was human and Satan was not, they are not Biblically considered related in any way.

1. satan was a fallen Angel
2. Jesus is God in the flesh, a creator not a created being
read the bible God says: lets create man in "our" image who do you think he was talking too? and Jesus said before Abraham I was. he was there at creation.

Because there is a difference in how we are children of God and how Jesus was the son of God. Jesus is clearly stated that he is the only begotten son. Jesus is also God in human form. We, and Satan, are merely creations. When we become children of God we are His children by adoption.

Christ was not created. He is the second person of the Trinity, and is God Incarnate.

Satan is an angel, created by God. Jesus is his Creator, not his brother.
