meowgu has a good response, although it is Cantonese. erlampo has a close response, but shows how difficult it is to translate a word like food into Chinese.

In Mandarin, food is é£å shipin (pr. "shurpin") or é¥
fan or è cai (pr. "tsai"ï¼, depending on exactly what you mean by food. Delicious is 好å haochi (pronounced "how chur").

food can be pronounced as "seak mat", "seak" sounds like steak without the "t" and mat sounds like the first part of materials.
delicious can be pronounced as "ho may".
