Chondrodermatitis nodularis helicis is a painful condition of the ear that usually affects middle aged men. The symptom is a tender lump or sore in the ear's cartilage. The sore usually has a central core, may ooze and is extremely painful.

A formal diagnosis would tell you if you have it and you would see a dermatologist to make that determination.
