Yes, people leave him everyday, but the important part is that they return.

Yes we can leave our fellowship when we are drawn by our lusts and when we walk out of GOD will for our lifes. But GOD never leaves us nor forsake.Matthew 28:20 says"He will be with us to the end of age."
Sometimes when we sin badly we wont be able to seek the LORD with the courage we once used to seek him.But when we confess our sins he is faithful enough to forgive us and cleanse us from all evil.Read Psalms 32:2.
Dont worry JESUS wont let u go out of his hand.No devil in hell can pluck u from him.
The bible says in james "Faith without works is dead".There itself he gave the answer if u see a poor guy and u say too him i have faith that u will get something when u have something u can give him.See thats faith without works.
Read James 2:14-26.
But remember GOD loves u no matter what and has prepared a way for u to reconcile u back to him and save u.
"For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoso ever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life".Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.

Some churches believe that if you truly accepted Christ as your Savior, then you can never lose that salvation.
Most protestant churches however, believe that it is possible to backslide. I did. I got to a point where I no longer believed in God. I went and did whatever I wanted and all it did was feed the depression I was going into.
It was a long hard road back - but I am now stronger in the faith than I was before. Not because of anything I have done, but, because He said He would never leave us, nor forsake us.
God bless.

Sure, we could leave Him, but He still remains faithful even when we are unfaithful.
Jesus said, "And I give them eternal life, and they shall NEVER perish; neither shall ANYONE snatch them out of My hand." "My Father who has given them to Me, is greater than ALL; and NO ONE can snatch them out of My Father's hand." "I and My Father are One." John 10: 28-30 (emphasis mine)
If you believe that as a believer you can somehow lose your salvation, or give it back, you are mistaken. "NEVER" means never. Do you think you are not included in the words "ANYONE", "ALL", and "NO ONE"? Neither shall ANYONE. That includes you. My Father is greater than ALL. That includes you. NO ONE (including you) can snatch them out of My Father's hand.
You now say, "What about free will?" Yes, you have free will. What about God? Does God have free will or is He just a robot we order around? Of course He has a free will. So, does our free will overpower His free will? Not according to the scripture quoted above. God is greater than ALL. That includes you, brother.
The judgement we believers will face has nothing to do with salvation. It has to do with rewards. Salvation is not a thing to be possessed, salvation is a person. His name is Jesus of Nazareth. He lives inside every believer by the Holy Spirit. You do not own your salvation, so there is no way you can give it back. No one has the right or even the ability to give back something they do not own or possess. Jesus is the owner. He IS salvation and He says, "I will NEVER leave you nor forsake you." Hebrews 13: 5b (emphasis mine) The common mistake here is to read and understand the word "leave", but not the word "forsake". The word "forsake" means "deny". Jesus says He will NEVER deny you. Do you trust Him to keep His word?
The Apostle Paul's writings are what you will use to try to back up your claims. I only quote Jesus. When an apparent conflict arises between the writings of Paul and the clear teachings of Jesus Christ, whom should we look to for clarification, God or man?
One last thing I leave you with, also the words of Jesus, which He spoke to a group of extremely legalistic men, "But go and learn what this means: 'I desire MERCY and not sacrifice.'" Matthew 9: 13a (emphasis mine)
I love your heart, I just disagree with your methods.
God loves you and so do I.
A few more seeds sown, I move on.

yes you are right. Faith is proved in works. I happen to differ though about Jesus never leaving us. Jesus says if your hand sins -- cut it off or your eye -- pluck it out. He would not ask us to do something that he would not do even hypothetically. We are the body of Christ and if a part of his body sins-- he disengages it as he has nothing to do with sin. He has also warned the Church back then (through the Apostles) not to have anything to do with sinners (after they have been warned and continue to sin).

No, we can't leave Him if the relationship is real. Ever read the story of the 99 sheep, and the one that wandered away? The shephered left the 99 and went to seek for the one that was lost.

At the Judgement seat of Christ we will receive reward and loss of reward according to the nature of our works.
If one is "truely" saved, one can not leave Jesus..we have been purchased with a price...there are no refunds...we were bought "as is" and change "as we will".

Yes, we can leave and reject God. But He will be there, even when we don't want Him to be. That is just a fact of life.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, maybe you hadn't heard. Jesus died almost 2000 years ago.
Actually, there's very little evidence he ever lived in the first place, so don't get too upset.
