I know some of my questions have seemed silly, but the rumors are out there. Here's another one, perhaps not so silly, but still it would be nice if it were addressed.

LDS believe God had physical sex with Mary and she conceived Jesus.

Jesus was born in the same way we all were. However, he was not conceived in the same way. God did NOT have sex with Mary. Seriously, people are being misled.

If God had sex with Mary then Jesus cannot claim he is the root and offspring of David. Joseph was a direct descendant of in the line of David. Joseph made Mary pregnant out of wedlock but he has to marry her to avoid scandal and at the same time to fulfill the prophesy of Jesus being born by a very young woman and not necessarily by virgin birth.
God does not need to have sex to bring people, people were made into being just using His words. You are bringing the stupid mythology of Romans and Greeks again.

The LDS Church does not teach this.

The Church does teach that, "Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is Heavenly Father’s Only Begotten Son in the flesh." A related and also clear doctrine is that Heavenly Father is a separate being from Jesus Christ.

Debating about how conception occurred seems a bit silly and very disrespectful. However it happened, it doesn't take away from how we feel about His divinity.

Wrong. Some of our past leaders made comments that Jesus was born in the same natural way we were, and anti-Mormons have taken that and run with it, saying that we are REALLY saying that God had sexual relations with Mary. But, what they're really saying is, that Mary conceived a real child, had a real pregnancy, and a real labor and delivery, and had a real baby, that God didn't miraculously put Himself into her womb, or that her pregnancy was not a real one, and especially that she cheated on God!

I am a Latter Day Saint and I do not believe that God had sex with Mary. That is just rude and blasphemous. No LDS people that I know or have ever known believe or teach such irreverant non sense

God has a body of flesh and blood, just as Christ does. I have heard that prophets have said that God did visit marry in the flesh. Personally, I really do not care how it happened. The important thing is that I know that Christ lived and He atoned for my sins. We do have a living prophet today. I have received a strong witness of that.

I did like the answer about whether or not it would be a step up or down. The truth is, God has a plan for us, and that includes retaining our bodies forever. Family and marriage is of high important in his plan.

No, one guy wrote that in a book (because we are allowed as individuals to make our own guesses, speculations and opinions), and suddenly everyone thinks that's our official doctrine - it is not.

The Book of Mormon clearly speaks of Mary as being a Virgin when she gave birth to Jesus. I don't think there's anyway to misinterpret the word "virgin." I figure it was some sort of divine invitro fertilization or something like that.

I heard that they believe that Jesus is unique in that he is the offspring of a mortal mother and of an immortal , or resurrected and glorified, Father. That Jesus was the executive of the Father, Elohim, in the work of the creation.

That Jesus is greater than the Holy Spirit, which is subject unto him, but His Father is greater than He.

I have little doubt he lied approximately it because of the fact the mormons have been already an unpopular team and he did no longer % the church to be much extra socially unaccepted (or prosecuted by making use of the regulation). i'm helpful lots of his very own followers could have left the church had they universal approximately it, and it replaced into for his very own risk-free practices to boot. Bravo-Alpha, in case you in straight forward terms knew how completely cliche you sound. we're not worried of threats of eternal punishment, and we don't % to return back.

This rumor is the result of anti-mormons again stretching the truth and lying.

Nowhere do we teach that. Maybe someone might interpret it that way, but we don't.
