God’s word tells us that He is self-existing and ever-existing. In eternity past God was there. At a certain point he made a decision to create man. God’s desire was to have this man express Him in His image and represent Him with His authority earth (Gen 1:26-28) The bible tell us in the very first page of Genesis that God’s creation of man was different from His creation of all other things. He created man in His own image. Let us illustrate this matter by using a glove. A person’s hand cannot fit into a handkerchief because it does not have the image or form of the hand. Because the glove is in the image, the likeness, and the form of a hand, it is able to contain the hand. A glove is made in the form of a hand for the purpose of containing the hand. In the same way, the human life was created according to the image of God so that God could dispense Himself as the divine life into the human life. Man was created not only to express God but also to be God’s representative authority. The unique way for man to express God and represent God is to receive God as his life that man may become a counterpart of God. Man was created with the capacity to receive and contain God’s divine life. All of man’s human virtues, such as love, honor, and goodness, were created by God so that man may have God’s live and live out the divine attributes

I too believe that there are limitations to knowledge. I am also a skeptic. There are all kinds of skeptics.

Some 'skeptics' have brought nothing to any table.

I like the idea that '...a method of obtaining knowledge through systematic doubt and continual testing' is beneficial when applied in a genuine fashion.

Well, without us, there'd be no one left. All you christians would kill eachother because none of you agree on how scripture is to be interpreted or whether or not all scripture should be regarded in every day life. Some of you say Jesus fullfilled all of the law, and others say Jesus has not returned yet, so the law has not been fullfilled. Some of you choose to disregard the OT, others are labled extremist for not disregarding the OT.

Bottom line, if nothing but christians were left on earth and they all followed the bible to the letter, as Jesus commanded, you all would be killing your children and eachother regularly. The world would be filled with vagrants and vagabonds. In other words, the damn hippies will have taken over!

Dull and boring. Even more of us would be brainwashed. Without skeptics things would never progress and people would never learn. Just b/c someone says something is right doesnt mean that it is. Just b/c someone tells you to do something doesnt mean that you have to. You make your own choices and only you know whats best for you. Too many people let others decide for them.

Much more boring, and probably shorter, as skeptics tend to make good inventors and scientists.

Without us the christians and muslims would kill each other off.
We serve the same role as the rodeo clown, to the enraged bull of religion.

If there weren't any skeptics, there would have been only one religion in mankind's history. I wonder which one that would've been?

Easier, with less headaches.

But then again, we are all skeptical. It really depends on what the subject is. It seems as though most skeptics act the way they do just to stir up trouble.

Boring as all hell. Everybody would believe anything that they were told and wouldn't question anything ever. It would be like a bunch of chickens running around with no heads.
