Oh soulflower2, I don't think being a celibate is practical for anyone except a monk, how horrible to cut yourself off from all expression of physical love for other people's delusions about a God and sin.

Good question...everyone tries to separate the homosexuals from the heterosexuals...like there is some big gap...

But, in reality...there is not...we all eat, sleep, work, spend time with friends and family, and generally just want to do the best job at being human that we can...give back to society, be good people, do a good job, and live a full life...

The only real difference is who I sleep next to at night...nothing else really.

A gay person will have as much ease living as a heterosexual as a straight person would have living as a gay. Pretending does not change desires, nor does preaching about sin and hell.

Seriously, other straight people, do you think you could choose to be gay even if you truly believed that is what God wanted? I know I couldn't.

Because he's stupid and thinks that all straight people are against the gay people. He's full of himself that's for sure. I have a lot of straight friends who are strong supporters of gay rights. The guy isn't worth speaking to from what you've said about him. 'Destroying the morality of the country'?? I wouldn't pay much attention to him. It's a waste of time and energy.

Wow. I am a Christian. But I think if you are gay, you will probably not be able to change this.

However, I met a man once who became a monk. He lived by himself in a country area (this was in Eastern Europe).

He said he was gay and that he couldn't get married and hurt some woman, but he decided to live alone and not sleep with men either.

I met a minister of music at a church who said the same thing.
He said he was gay but that it was sinful to sleep with men, so he just lived a life of total celibacy.

He said the only way he could do this was through prayer and doing like a 12 step program..you know one day at a time.

I guess what I am saying is that the only way I know how to answer you is to tell you to not have actual sex with men.

Any who live in the closet generally suffer psychologically, and the suffering can be significant.

Just be yourself. WHat happens in your bedroom is your business. It should not make or break the person within.

God's word is the same for everyone. God loves everyone. We all need Jesus. If one does not believe in God, then they can make up their life style. : )

We Christians are not doing very good job either following the perfect example. We know that we need Jesus as our Savior. : )
