Yes I think whenever you think of others more than yourself, it can be very rewarding.

There is a difference between giving that makes you feel good (this soothes your conscious) and giving that makes others feel good (this is personal).

But remember what Jesus said in Matt 6:1-4, "Take heed that you do not do your deeds before men, to be seen by them, otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven."

Yes, helping others is a very fulfilling act and does generate a greater sense of self-worth. But, do we really need God to give to other people? No, helping people should be a good in and of itself.

It is one of the areas that leads to a fulfilling life as a good life is based on more than one thing alone. Acts of service to your fellow human being does make one feel good, as does making sure my husband is cared for and happy, my parents are cared for and happy and my job which is very fulfilling.

God doesn't exist. So, he gives me no fulfillment.

Life gives me fulfillment. Helping others does feel good and does give me some fulfillment. However, it is not the only thing in life. That's too simplistic a view.

There isn't any one thing that gives fulfillment. It is the totality of life. Life is for experiencing, and all experiences, good and bad, add to life.

Working for the betterment of all mankind (and nature) is very fulfilling. I don't think of it as service to God though, just as what's right.

Helping others is really a good thing.GOD would love u for it.But ur good works wont be able to establish a relationship between u and GOD.maybe they will please GOD.but certainly wont u to have a relationship with him.The greatest fulfillment in life is this to trace ur way back to GOD through JESUS .

"For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoso ever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life".Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur path with his blood.

Helping those in need is the most fulfilling. Giving of oneself for God might feel rewarding, until one finds that they were being used by a denomination or religion.

I have found that giving time and help directly to those who need it, rather than using religion as a middle man is much more rewarding.

Yes I do agree with that statement. I definitely feel
that my life has purpose when glorifying God and teaching others and praying for others. I get great joy from hearing my grankids laugh and being able to help when and where I can.
