I signed up for IPF (International Pen Friends) for my birthday. I really wanted to have a foreign pen friend to exchange letters with, it sounded fun. Well, shame on me, I didn't read everything right, and I thought what would happen is that they would send me someone's address and send them mine, and we'd be set. What actually happens is that they send 7 people my address and information and send me 7 OTHER people's addresses and information, and you start to get letters. Well. I don't have the time nor the money to be sending 14 people letters all the time, but I really don't want to have to write to someone and say, "I don't want to exchange letters with you anymore," or anything of the sort. It sounds so heartless! And of course, it's nothing they've done. What should I do? Just find my pen friend and let the others trail off? That seems so irresponsible.
