So my husband will be back from the middle east, in about 26 days, and i'm estatic!!!!
Can't keep my mind off of anything else. YAY! So happy! : )
I wanna make him a welcome home sign that will be rememberd for a long time!! LOL, I've got time to make it nice so i want your ideas..I'm going to walmart today to buy things for it, but if you know of a better place, let me know too, please?

What's the best way to do it? Spray can colors, or paint? I'm not sure what to write with, or even what to write (becides i speak Swedish, so i will write "i love you" in swedish, which is cool because only he will know what it means)! haha, or even what colors to use! Please give me some funky ideas!

Thanks ya'll!. : )

"Jeg elsker dig"

I'm not Swedish and I know. :) Still I think this would be your best, personal and most clear message.

If you are inexperienced with paint it isn't a good project to learn it. It will be very messy if you start using paint for the first time on this scale. (I assume you are talking BIG.)

Best way is to use cut outs. Just buy some nice wrapping paper (all roses looks very nice) and cut the letters from that in the size you want.

Take one roll of light wrapping paper to paste the letters on. That you paste onto a more 'stress resistant' medium.

First off, congratulations on your husband coming back!
For an example of the finished process, look at the bottom.

For the main text, you could put something like;
We missed you!
Welcome Back!
Welcome Home Honey!
Welcome Home _____!
And in the blank, you could put his name. So if his name was Ted, it would be;
Welcome Home Ted!

For writing, you could use a paint brush, and could write bold, goofy, or fancy.

For the background, do a light color, maybe even his favorite color. You could also use stencils for the background.
If you have kids, you could have them dip their hands in paint and put their hand prints on the banner.
What's his favorite sport? You could put a demonstration of it on the sign, (like painting a football or something). You could put the American flag, or any flag for that matter. If he likes flowers, you could put his favorite flowers too.

You could even pin some some of your favorite pictures or photographs of the both of you to the sign. Also, FOR AN EXAMPLE LOOK AT THE LINK BELOW.
I hope this helps!
