Every sane person is an agnostic. All it means is that it's wrong to claim something is true when you have neither argument nor evidence to support it. No-one can really argue with that.

I am an agnostic. The reasoning behind this is that I have yet to come across a religion/faith that I agree completely with and I refuse to commit myself to anything that I don't feel is honest to my personal beliefs. Agnostics (most) form their own beliefs without a religion being forced upon them. Once I had discovered my own values on my own, I started even considering religion.

As yet, I can't accept any religions. I doubt I ever will be able to, and I don't need a Bible or someone telling me what a higher being thinks in order to be and act like a good person.

I know some people who view them as indecisive fence-sitters, but I think that agnosticism is probably more of an honest admission that the individual in question hasn't reached a definitive conclusion yet about what to believe, if anything. They are still in the process of researching. However, if they're not really researching it and simply don't care about the subject, then it could potentially be a case of apathy.

I think that they're just waiting for what is, in their eyes, a definitive sign from God.

I think they are fence-sitting and lack the will to come to a conclusion about what it is they believe.
