promise from Jesus Himself.
If you want His support, this is the time to seek it. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally" Is it so hard to kneel in humble prayer to ask God Himself to know the truth? I don't think so! Either way, everybody has the right to do as he desires. One man can deceive another, and it was for this reason that I wrote "don't take everything I say here to be perfect and true" You have the right and the privilege to ask to the Bearer of all. Who better than Him to ask? Don't trust me. If you did, that would mean your faith in Him is very weak. Maybe one day He will ask you: "Did you trust on me and on my promises? If you did, then why didn't you ask of me?"

I pray to the Lord that you can at least have respect for the opinion of other's. But I firmly respect the opinions of everybody and believe in the saying: "Two different opinions must not divide two sons of God."

So let's respect each other.

Habakkuk 2:2-3

Thanks for the link!!
I like Isaiah 29 too where it describes what happened with the sealed book (Book of Mormon).
You guys that posted need to study the scriptures more. One has to do more than read them to understand them. You will never find the truth with a heart closed to the Holy Ghost. It simply cannot testify the truth to you if you do not allow it to.

This is mainly for IdahoMik who obviously has not studied for himself to know the truth of the subject. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has always followed the Holy Bible as well as the Book of Mormon. Both are volumes of Holy Scripture testifying of the Divine mission of Jesus Christ here on the earth. We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly. We also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
As for the original question, Joseph Smith is not mentioned in the Bible per se. However, his work and mission are mentioned. Repeating the Isaiah verses mentioned above. Add to that the Ezekiel verses about the stick of Judah and the stick of Joseph being combined as one in our hand. There is also the Isaiah verses about a marvelous work and a wonder being brought forth in the last days. Lets include Daniel's vision of the stone being cut out of the mountains without hands and rolling forth to fill the whole earth. Before we close, lets look at Isaiah's reference of the mountain of the Lord's house being built in the tops of the mountains. In the New Testament we have verses talking about the apostacy and restoration of all things before the coming of the Christ in His glory.
Let them that have eyes to see and ears to hear see and hear indeed.

Isaiah 29 prophesies of the apostasy and the coming forth of the Book of Mormon.
"10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered.
11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed:
12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned."

This even actually happened when Joseph Smith copied some characters from the plates and took them to a leading Middle Eastern scholar in America at the time.

I go with the others, Joseph Smith is not in the Bible.

Habukkuk 2:2-3 is mentioned above. It mentions plates, but it appears to be a command to Habukkuk to write on plates. Regardless, it's vague enough that it could well be taken as a reference to Joseph Smith, or Mohammad for that matter. It all depends on how you take it.

Isaiah 29:11 - "The vision of all this has become for you LIKE the words of a sealed document." (NRSV). It says nothing about a sealed document (or, as above, the Book of Mormon). It is a simile comparing a vision with a sealed document, not a sealed document itself.

I like BigonDrums apologistic reasoning about the JS's Inspired Version better than the original question.

There's a job waiting for you at the Maxwell Institute of Circular Reasoning.

I think they recently removed "Reasoning" from their name by divine revleation.

It doesn't specifically say, but it talks about the removal of priesthood after the death of the last apostle (try looking in www.mormon.org or www.lds.org.

as J smith came along after 1800 it is not possible for his "prophesy" to be in The Bible..... and for a fact the mormons taught from the beginning that the "Christian Bible" was false and that Christians were the enemy... J smith claimed, and all of his cult leaders claimed, that he had received the true bible directly from their so-called god and that no mormon was to read from the christian bible.... Now... where is this so-called bible that J smith received from the so-called mormon god... and if it is the true bible why is it not the bible that all mormons are taught from... why are the mormons now claiming to be christians and are passing out King James Bibles.... could it be that the so-called bible of the mormons was proven to be false... if not why is it kept for the masses why is it not the bible of the mormons...why use the christian bible and why are the mormons claiming to be christians against the teaching of their founder... if that J smith bible is no good then none of that cult is any good...

I don't think it's in the babble. I believe clown boy smith came along later and proceeded to make his own religion, much the same as the babble writers did 1750 years before .

Yep. Joe Smith was a complete fraud. There is just way too much history on the guy and his followers. Mormonism is a cult-you can check that out on any apologetics website.
