Hi, I speak Spanish, it is my native language. I'm confused I have a question for you:

In Spanish we have a word : "Así"

For example:

" Podemos realizar esta operación así : ..."
"Y asi entonces nos fuimos a la casa"
"esto fué así: ..."

How can I express it in Spanish?

Little greetings.

There is an English word is "thus" which translates "así" almost exactly, but unfortunately we do not usually use it in conversation. So "así" could be translated "like this", "like that", or "so", or in various other ways, according to context.

So to translate the sentences you gave:

"Podemos realizar esta operación así" - "we can carry out this operation like this"
"Y así entonces nos fuimos a casa" - "(And) so then we went home"
"Esto fué así:...." - "This is how it was:........"

Podemos realizar esta operación así : ...": We can do the operation like this.
"Y asi entonces nos fuimos a la casa": So then we went home.
"esto fué así: ..." : it was like this ...

As some of the other answerers have said, the translation depends on the context.

Two other points:
(1) the English for 'traducir' is 'translate' with n as 4th letter.
(2) 'Saluditos' is just 'greetings' or 'cheers' in English. We don't say 'little greetings'.

The translation of the word 'así' will depend on the context. In the sentences which you have provided examples using the word, you could translate the word 'así' to 'thus' or 'like'.

Because "asi" has so many ways of being translated into English, you'll learn when to use each one just by seeing or hearing them used in different contexts.
In your sentences, I would translate "asi" as:
1) like this
2) so
3)"thus" or maybe "like this"

Asi in english is '' LIKE THAT" there is not just one word to say ''ASI''

Asi in spanish you can insted of asi " acurrio'' or "pasado"

Ex: I am going to use the same examples that you gave us but with the word "acurio or pasado"

esto acurrio como...

not that much better
but
good luck

No hay una misma traducción para todas las expresiones.
Observa que para nosotros, "pero" y "sino" son distintos, pero en inglés ambas se traducen "but".
Para el caso que preguntas, las posibilidades son:
"like this" (así, de esta manera) o "by this way".
"Y así entonces..." se traduciría como "then", o "therefore" (entonces, por consiguiente)

Hola... Yo también hablo en español ya que soy argentina... "Así" se puede decir de muchas maneras en inglés. Usando tus ejemplos:

"... this way"
"We went home, then"
"It was like that"

en definitiva, se puede usar "this way", "like that"... depende del contexto.
