Yes. The hair is wrapped around perm rods, broken down chemically, and then chemically reassembled. The result is a curly pattern to the individual hairs and an increase in volume and body. Perm damage can cause the hair to be brittle, and dull. The damage can often be minimized by conditioners and reconstructors.
It can also cause skin problems, redness, welts etc...if you have sensitive skin my answer would be DONT...

i've got had perms on and rancid because i exchange into 12. The greater recent perms do no longer injury your hair lots, yet they're going to make hair that fluctuate into already broken worse. So i'm getting a trim after each perm and by employing the 2nd haircut, my hair seems super! many human beings will say perms are undesirable because of the fact they are "out" ideal now. yet permed hair would not ought to look like it did interior the 80s. and that i do no longer think of curly hair is ever out!

Most definatly!
And it is quite easy.
They usually have very harsh chemicals that "burn" the hair to get it to curl and have extra body, and they can make the scalp "sunburnt" and dry.
If they are done right, and not left on to long thay can make the hair look great though, as long as you are sure to use a quality conditioner after, and after washing.

Perms can damage your hair they do weaken your hair that is why you need to deep condition your hair and put a moisturizer on it. Hot oil treatments are also good for permed hair.
