You should definitely go and talk to your doctor about it...it could be one (or none!) of many things such as...
Hormone imbalance
Depression
Manic depression
Bipolar disorder
Or it could be something as 'simple' as you are very stressed at the moment and the obsessive counting etc. are your brains way of coping with things.
Good luck with everything, I hope you get it all sorted out.

You sound a lot like me. I'm 29 with bi-polar disorder, OCD, and ADHD. I had trouble all my life until I sought care from an experienced psychiatrist. 18 months of therapy and meds and now I'm a whole new person. And I am proudly living without meds. I control me because now I know what's wrong and how to respond when i want to paint the house at 2 in the morning. I need to sleep at night. Work during the day, and have a life from after work until sleep time. It's about learning, self control, and commitment. Hope this helps, no two people are the same.

Either it could be a chemical imbalance in ur body that goes throught the mood swings, sometimes it's what you eat.... and lastly not really knowing what kind of person you are (your asking us) so I recommend that you read this book called Personallity Plus. It breaks down characteristics, even mood swings and it puts you in a prespective to understand what's going on, why you are like that and areas you can work on to improve. You are showing a mix of 2 categories. I think you can find that book in the barnes and noble or something. Take care

I am not sure how old you are, but it could be hormonal. I had those problems from a tri-cyclic birth control pill years ago. It was called Tri-phasal 28 I think. But any meds or anything that messes with your hormones could be the reason. You probably need to go see a doctor. If it is purely mental, your doctor can help you get in to see a mental health professional.
Good luck! :)

Could you havaweekend away to assess your behaviour and trust yourself mot to get into trouble try to get more sleep and good food . I hope you dont ake nonperscripton street drugs if so thats whee you have your explanation for your mood swings , be fair on yourself and I think you will find an even behaviour soon

Another thing to try...change your diet...if your drinking a lot of soda, cut back ( some diet sodas containing aspartame cause strange symptoms .... google "testimonials on aspartame " to read of other peoples symptoms.) and drinking too much of any soda is not good anyway. No nutritional value to keep your brain functioning healthy. If you eat a lot of junk food such as chips, cookies, cakes, fast food...cut back for a week or two and see if you notice any difference. It could also be something that you need to go see a doctor about. So follow your instincts.

I blame society at large, specifically pop culture. Start with legal drugs and then get some coping skills, with professional help, while on drugs so that you can get off the drugs and chemicals and move on to herbs. Avoid fundie religion but not spirituality. Don't spend too much money and try not to get hooked on anything.

ok, sounds like 3 things. depression (see a conselour), obsessive compulsive disorder (see a phychiatrist) or being a normal teenager with hormones that jump all over the place causing all of this! (if your over 20 seriously seek help)

See your doc. It sounds like you may have bi-polar/manic depressive episodes. Good news is, there are medications that can help balance you out. There also may be a touch of obsessive compulsive.

luckily, the first step has already been taken, and that is identifying the problem. i suggest you go for a professional examination with a psychiatrist. It could be bi-polar disorder or OCD. these can be treated through therapy and/or medications.
