I have sores popping up all over my body, indiscriminate places, not a rash..itch like crazy when they first come on then stay like an open wound for a while, then they get scabby on the sides but don't start healing in the middle for a while, can't stop itching at night, in sleep... when they finally heal, takes a long time, they end up with like a black or dark brown scab. also, have several fissures on my hands. please don't suggest the doctor thing, dont have insurance yet..thanks in advance

Have you been around anyone with scabies or a dog with mange? Scabies and mange are pretty much the same thing.
If you think that is it, whatever treats dog mange should be safe for humans (since you don't have insurance).

Scabies (mange) is a maddening itch, especially at night. You also have to spray everything in the house with a bug killer. They are little mites and get everywhere.

If you have had 2 vets, I might try #3. It does sound like allergies so you can try several other things as well. New food - I know you said he'd been on it awhile but it has been known to happen that an allergy or intolerance will occur with build up. Try formulas without corn, wheat or by products - we have had good luck with Lamb & Rice and Chicken & Rice (our lab has allergies). If this is fleas then you will have to treat his whole environment at one time - bed, indoors and yard. Please don't ever use Advantix (or any of the monthly treatments) more often than 30 days it can be toxic. Maybe change to Frontline Plus for a couple of months. Med shampoos can be very drying and contribute to the itching - try oatmeal shampoo and don't bathe too often - coat conditioners with Lanolin may help also. Put a touch of olive oil in his food, this will also come out in his coat and help conditioning. Benadryl will also help with the itching and give him some rest but be sure to consult a vet on the dosage. One of the extreme treatments we have HAD to use even though I hate medicating a dog, is prednisone (has to be prescribed by a vet). It really helps and I believe in extra serious situations the "quality" of their life is worth risking their longevity. Good Luck!

you MIGHT have poison ivy were you around any leaves, did you go for a walk in a wooded area
or did you pull leaves/weeds out when gardening.

MAYBE your local pharmacists can tell you.

SORRY, I don't know what else to tell you since I'm NOT a Dr.

good luck

You must be miserable with that! Is there a county or university hospital in your area? If so call them right away--most have clinics that will treat you at little or no cost. Maybe a free clinic?
Nobody here is qualified to help you.
Good luck
