Faith is an inward skill that is manifested by what we do. If you child gets sick--call the doctor--and rest assured that God is in control--be concerned but trust that God will see you through. This will help you and your child. If you get upset so will your children. As a Christian you can be assured that God can handle any crisis and he will assist you whatever the need is "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee, I am thy redeemer I will care for thee. " When you are a spiritual rock that will help your child to calm down and know he is in God's hands. GOD KNOWS YOUR NEED

Of course you should save your child, it's like the guy who was sitting on top of his house because of a flood, along came a man in a boat, he told the guy to come down and get in the boat. The guy replied: "No, no, God will save me." Then a guy came along in a helicopter, and threw down a ladder for the man to get into the helicopter, the man said: " no, no God will save me" Well, the river continued to rise and the man was swept away and died. When the time came he asked God: "Why didn't you save me?" God replied: "Well, I sent the boat and the helicopter didn't I. " We can't expect God to do everything for us, we have to do some of the work ourselves.
Also, if a close examination is done of the miracles that Jesus performed, it was Jesus faith that got the miracle accomplished, not the person's - I mean Lazarus was dead so how could Lazarus' faith have saved him then?

God is SOVEREIGN and LOVING! If a child is hurt- or something else difficult happens- then the prayer should be brought with humility something like: "Lord our awesome Father we want to praise you for your might and power and love and grace. If You will it, we pray for healing for this Your child in his time of need. Guide the hands of the doctors so that they may help him heal. If healing is not Your plan, please put a shroud of peace around him and us his family."
Remember, even Jesus facing horrible death on a cross, gave it over to the Father to decide! He said "Father, please take this cup from me. Not my will but Yours be done." He prayed that for hours before He was arrested and He suffered so wretchedly. But He respected and honoured His Father's will. Christ is our example. Remember they are not our children, we merely take care of them. They belong to God. We all belong to God.

Absolutely NOT!!!! That would be tempting God, and we are told "Do not tempt the Lord your God."
God expects us to do all we humanly can to protect our families and then turn it over to Him. If you do not do EVERYTHING you can HE is under no obligation to do anything. That includes going to the Doctor when sick and pulling your child out from oncoming traffic.
