Or would God prefer these people to be a bit more modest?

If I was God....(and I'm sure a lot of you will actually thank God that I'm not)...most of the so-called 'Christians' on here wouldn't stand a chance!

hmmm....we have a difference of opinion folks....contestant number 1 is 'confident' he will get into heaven.....contestant number 2 would 'never presume' that he would.....Now who is more likely?

Yeah. Didn't Jesus say something like, "he who exalts himself shall be humbled and he who humbles himself shall be exalted"?

I believe that I have the opportunity to be granted entrance into the Kingdom of Heaven.

I will never presume that I am in until I stand before God and He opens the gates for me.

In my opinion, the people that are the most sure they are going to Heaven are the people who are the farthest away from Heaven.

We have every right to be confident that this is true.....
And it can be true for you if you say yes to Jesus in repentance.

There's a big difference between arrogance & truth.......and scripture holds the truth.

We are loud about it because we are sharing the good news and not keeping it to ourselves......that would be even worse than what you're trying to portray us out to be.

I agree. Pride is supposed to be a sin, last time I checked.
