I have been filing a joint return witch comes out at two deduction,,can I claim three deductions after I reach 78 years old

No, you don't an extra deduction at any age. What you do get is an increase in the standard deduction when you reach age 65, and your spouse would also get an increase in the standard deduction when he/she turned 65 as well. You also get an increase in the standard deduction if you are legally blind.

No. Not on your federal return. There is an increase in the standard deduction at age 65 but no increase in personal exemptions at any level.

Your state may have certain age specific deductions for your state return though.

No, you don't get an extra exemption - that was the case in the past (age 65 and over) but changed awhile back.

Now if you take the standard deduction, it's a little higher for anyone 65 or over.
