No, but I think it would be a great idea. I wonder why they don't have them. I guess there is not enough need for them. It would be hard to staff them, too.

There was a daycare I applied at back in the fall, that was open til 9pm. It was newly built and I was one of the first applicants.
I didn't proceed with the hiring as I felt they were extremly unprofessional and come to find out, not educated in child development units enough for their positions as it was....(To the point).
This is also in Bakersfield, California.
However, I have heard of a few who do stay late, up to like 8pm, sometimes 9pm. It is rare and not as common as the typical 6pm daycares.
Due to that time, it is best to either hire a babysitter or a nanny, or have a relative stay with the kids.

There are daycare homes and facilities that have extended hours. Generally you will find facilities with later hours in more populated areas, larger cities, or near major employers such as hospitals or factories. A licensed daycare home may make exceptions for late pick-ups. I suggest that you look in the phone book under Child Care Resources to see if you have a Child Care Referral Service in your area. This type of organization helps families find daycare that fits their needs as well as helping licensed daycares fill their openings.

go down to your county office and ask for daycare information. some will have it. I have had my son in daycare that was open 24 hours. Most facilities are not open late. You would have to look for an in home daycare. My son was in a in home family daycare that was 24 hours. She was open for kids who's parents work the graveyard shifts.

I run a daycare and I`m open 24hrs, most of my clients are shift workers. But most daycares only stay open till 5 or 6pm.. 24hr daycare is really expensive, because it`s after hours... I would find a caregiver that can live in with you, ( nanny)..

I have never heard of one but you would think that one would have to exist since not everyone works 9-5. My problem was finding one that opened prior to 7AM, luckily my employer let me change my hours. I'm in central TX; I'm not sure where you are located so this might not help but here's a great link for finding child care in Texas.
