There are different definitions.

The most important is the definition of 'everlasting life'. What Jesus did for us on the cross.

Then there is saved today from making wrong choices, by soul choices to follow after the Spirit.

Then being saved from sicknesses & that is 'healing'.

Also, when someone is drowing & some one throws a lifesaving intertube to that person. That persons life is saved.

Whosoever calles upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.

Salvation means that we are saved from something.

Salvation means that God looks on a person with love and not anger.

Why would God be angry? Because all of us sin and do wrong.

How does God look on people with love if we all are sinners?
If God sees Jesus Christ in us and instead of us then he will love us.

How does a person get Jesus? They must accept Jesus' death on the cross as an acceptable sacrifice for their sin. They must understand the Jesus Christ is the person God the Father sent to the world to take on that sin. They also must understand that Jesus was "god in the flesh"...the third part of a triune God.

That is just the beginning of a life long learning experience of the Bible, God's book to humans.

Salvation is redemption from the sin that serperates us from God. We are saved by the grace God has, so that we will not have to go to hell for our sins.
