He wants you to believe Him.
What exactly do you mean when you speak of "testing Him'?
Do you think your parents would like you to test them?

where then would faith come in? if you could physically see him and point him out in the middle of a crowd, there would be no need to have faith. but you see, without faith, you dont get into heaven. well what is faith you might ask? look to Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." what more do you need but to take a look around you and see what he has created? think about it, how did this all come into creation. it wasnt a big bang ill tell you that. a lot of scientists even agree that the big bang theory doesnt add up. ultimently there has to be something that is infinite. because everything that has a beginning has a cause. if you would say the big bang, what would the cause have been? something caused it. for something not to have a cause it has to be outside of time which means it is infinite.
sorry, i got off the topic there a little. but just a little food for thought that you can through at atheists you come across.
blessings upon you my friend.

God doesn't need to prove anything to us. It's likely not a wise choice to test and prod your creator of which without him you would not even exist. If you want God to reveal something to you though, and you genuinely asked for some kind of assurance of his existence, or a similar question in mind that you had, then I'm sure he would be more than happy to answer such a prayer.
The bible says that if we had faith even in that the amount was of a grand of sand, we would be able to move mountains.

It is written to test the Spirits to see if they come from God.
But Jesus answered the snake, "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.". Many will come to Christians & tell them to eat poison or jump off a cliff etc. because God says he takes care of them. We are to answer that person as Jesus did, "Thou shalt not tempt the Lord Thy God.".
If God gave me discernement to not eat the moldy beans in the fridge, & I ate it anyway; claiming that I can eat any deadly thing & it won't harm me (that is written), I am testing God. I will get sick. God let me know the beans were bad. Jesus didn't eat the rocks.

Where do you see that God doesn't want us to test Him? God doesn't want us to demand material things from Him or treat Him like a magic Genie. But on several occasions I have asked that He show me what to do and He has, and I have questioned laws and at one point I was questioning everthing from tithing to baptism of the Holy Spirit. God was so gracious and granted me the answers to all of my questions even at my times of rebellion. Gideon tested God, and was blessed. I warn you not to test God out of spite or malice though, remember He knows the wickedness of our hearts. That's why Jesus didn't play into the pharisees when they tried to test/trick Him. He knew they were trying to set him up, not confirm their Faith.

When the Bible speaks of "testing" God, it is using the word in the sense of "trying his patience". It is things like jumping off a building and daring God to caught you before you hit the ground. (That is the one satan tried on Jesus). Or praying that he will help you rob a bank, or help you steal someone elses spouse. (You can not pray for God's help to sin).
The Bible is NOT saying that you can not sincerely praying and ask for God to reveal himself. But you can not pray for things that "try his patience".

certain things He set into motion during creation was gravity and He cannot go against a law He made and created sooo testing Him in certain ways goes against what He set in motion and He would not change the outcome of what your trying to accomplish simply because of that...however the Bible does say you can test the spirits and His word...

We are supposed to have complete and total faith in God. To test Him would be to lack any amount of faith saying "If you want me to believe more, you have to prove yourself to me." God doesn't have to prove a thing, and a strong believer already knows that.

How could anyone follow HIm in the first place, and He seems to have a bad habit of not coming when called for, and not fetching when commanded to. He acts as if He has a mind of His own. If you see HIm, tell HIm I said so.
