I hear people pointing fingers this way and that way saying people are wrong for thinking that their way is the only way, but once you really think about it, pretty much everyone in the forum wishes, in some way or another that all of the people that believe differently from themselves, would be more like them!
So when i see an athiests say "stupid christians want everyone to believe like them" I pretty much hear "They should believe like me!" or "Christians think that everything outside of what they believe is wrong" which is really like saying, "Christians are wrong"
I never see christians denying they wish everyone were saved like them so that side is not really a big issue here, it's the other side of people that baffles me.
Agree or disagree and why?
That's just how i see it folks.

personally im fed up with people arguing. im a christian and just dont care if people don't believe in god. i totally understand what you're saying. i hate it when people say christians think they are superior to others which is not true. it doesn't matter if you believe or don't believe. most of my friends don't believe in god but i don't say stuff like go to hell. of course i want people to go to heaven but i wouldn't hate them if they didn't want to go. im glad you're not siding cause what you're saying is how i see it aswell. us christians just don't want people to suffer. thats all.

History shows that trying to make eveyone believe the same way causes nothing but hatred and war. We are going through that even to this very day. There is not now, nor probably ever will be one way of belief, and if the one's who believed they have the correct way would accept this, I believe the world would be a much happier place.

No. I just wish the following groups will leave me alone on the weekends with their prostelyzing:
JW's, Southern Baptist Fundies, Evangelical Christian Cults, and the occassional door to door 7th day Adventist.
I wish Muslims would stop lying about being in a "religion of peace".
It is not, and I find great pleasure in posting relevant and factual information showing them to be the exact contrary.

I think when I respond to those types of questions, I try to get the other side to see my point of view (that there is a higher power) - not neccessarily trying to convert them though.
I feel people who claim they don't believe in a higher power know better deep in their souls - but need to get over whatever it is that makes them feel like they have been abandoned.

I agree, that is basic human nature and we are all subject to it. Regardless if we are Atheist, Theist, or Agnostic. The only way to not have such a reaction is if you could careless what the hell anybody else thinks.. I like that attitute, **** the world.

I am an atheist. I am happy for other people who have found what feels right for them. I just want them to stop pushing it on me; especially in government sanctioned ways. It's annoying and unconstitutional.

I disagree. I am Pagan, what another believes ot doesn't believe is correct for them and I respect that.
