Uh, no. They were the equivalent to the Front National of today's France. In the Weimar Republic they were only meant to be a temporary coalition partner. The reason why Hitler was able to become dictator was because they blew up the Reichstag, blamed it on the communists, and used that as a mandate to govern by martial law. Thenceforth, the Nazis ceased to be involved in political deliberation (they could barely get anything done anyways) and showed its true face as a paramilitary organization. They were fvckups with that too as the organization was subject to constant internal strife and bureaucratic gridlock (they were over-regimented, psychoxander, and the scientific/military achievements of Germany during the war period had nothing to do with the party's influence).
People need to stop glorifying the Nazis. They failed in EVERYTHING they did. There's a reason why they lost, they were dumba**es.

no! they ruled by fear and intimidation, ran the finances into the ground, and sent their country into massive financial losses, when it had been doing fairly well. the war machine bankrupted them. and even the leading nazis stole and stashed personal wealth. so much for a cohesive system of leadership! and a belief in a better leadership to make them great. read Orwells 1984 if you havent.. the brainwashing is exactly what he was trying to show. if you take and indoctrinate the young, they know no other way and believe they are in the right.
i see religions.almost all of them using the same tactics world wide, +if not the church/ the new god of consumerism.
none of it is healthy for those not in the upper echelons!

They lasted only twelve years I'd hardly call them "successful." The Social Democratic party was formed in the 19th century and managed to survive communist attacks and Nazi repression. I'd say they were much more successful has a politcal party in Germany.

No, considering they reigned for a fraction of a century and now have zero influence and are virtually non-existant outside of small secs. Look at the 2 big political parties in the U.S. They both have exisited for 125+ years.

Not exactly, but they were rigid, organized and motivated as hell. Though not entirely successful, the Nazi party does deserve some degree of respect as far as its infrastructure, span, and military capabilities were concerned. Not excluding their scientific advances.

Since the officers were still be hunted down in Brazil and other countries up until the late 1990's, captured and put on trial, no I would not think so.

Only if you consider going out of business forever within a dozen years to be "successful". Personally, I think you're gonna have a really, really tough time selling that one.

They fell apart in a matter of less than 20 years, so I'd say no.
