There isn't anyone, that hasn't been touched, by the death of a father, son, neighbor, or friend. We would all like to see and end to the death, on both sides. The American government says, it is doing what is best for Iraq. (Lies) The American government is just doing what is best for the American pocketbook. The people of this country are not fools. We see the truth and are helpless to change it's course. Our own government lies to us, much more, than to any other people.
Most here, are not even sure, how this current president, got elected in the first place. Now that's sad news.
The people of Iraq, need some support, but I think it needs to come from, those people, themselves. They are capable of taking care of the issues themselves, without our interference. They don't want us there. Bring our people home and let them do as they will, with their own country. How would people, in this country, react, if another country came over here, to "Help Us Out", Now you're talking war. The rest of the world is looking at us America, what is the plan? I don't see our so called friends, helping out much, if any. There has to be a good reason for that. Greed is guiding people. I want my country back. I want it back in one piece. I want children to be able to play in the streets again. Where are all the answers? The world is getting smaller and there's no more Mayberry. Live and Let Live...Peace, is my prayer.

I think that we should never have gotten into Iraq. I believe that we are there now, and we should get out as soon as possilbe. The war mongers and the Bush "yes" men, say that if we leave there will be a civil war...well that civil war has been going on now for a couple of years. They just won't admit it. When the war started, suggestions were made to section off Iraq into 3 zones, and the Bush White House was totally against it. Today, that same Bush White House is actually erecting walls to separate the 3 groups into 3 walled areas. The Bush people say that if we leave Iraq, the terrorists will come to America. Yet, we are spending millions in the US Now, because there are so many "sleeper cells" of terrorists ALREADY here. So that was wrong also. The 3 groups, the Kurds, The Sunni and the Sheia have been fighting and killing each other for over a thousand years. If we leave now or if we stay there another 100 years, they will go back to killing each other whenever we leave. Does that mean that we stay there for ever? How many more thousands of military men and women have to die, until Bush gets it right? It's already a fact, that even when Bush leaves office, our military will be going to and dying in Iraq. So, whomever gets into office next, will no doubtedly win on the platform of leaving Iraq. That being the case, what difference does it make if we stay there one year, two years or longer, before we pull out? None, that I'm aware of, so why does another military person have to die?

In the current state here is an easy analogy:

you live in a neighborhood full of drug dealers and drug lords. Citizens complain to the police and the police agree to put more policemen/women in your neighborhood. While the police are there the drug dealer thin out and hide BUT they are still there causing some problems. By now the drug dealers are also very angry that the citizens asked for help and the police responded so they may try to scare the police away by random acts of crime - drive by shootings, robbery, beating people up.

At this point if the police chief says that's it, no more police will help this neighborhood what would happen?

The drug dealers and lords would simply walk out of hiding and take their revenge on you and everyone else still in the neighborhood. The same will be true of terrorist in Iraq if we simply cut and run at this stage. We must force the Iraqi troops to start handling the problems more and more as we train and teach them so that it has a chance of stability.

People will rant about the war in Iraq should never have occurred, watch and see, but what they seem to miss is that it did and has. They need to learn to deal with the circumstances as they are now - whining will solve nothing.

The invasion of Iraq from day one was a blatant mistake and sending more troops there will only aggravate the situation! And, now like adding oil to fir, a Berlin wall of 21st century is under construction in Iraq! Maybe it will prove to be the stupidest decision of all to deal with sectarian fighting - a byproduct of the invasion of Iraq! The earlier all foreign forces leave that country the better! Let Iraqis decide their own destiny!

we MUST stay in iraq if only to keep iran from taking over that country if we leave and that is exactly what would happen. who would the world look to if iran gained control of the oil under the sand in iraq and destabilized that entire region?...i think you probably know the answer don't you...

if we pull out now their still will be terrorist threats and attacks. i believe we need to complete what we started this time. it will be for the better good. look at it like this terrorist attacks didn't start with us entering Iraq so why should they end if we leave. we need to finish the job this time.
