let us say I have a Scanned image which has circles and rectangles (saperate not overlapping each other) and I want only rectangles to come on the power point slide at the same locationsas as in the image (as far as possible) and no circles. Is there any tool or software that can help me acomplish this task.
If it is possible, can i define the shape I want on the Slide.

One way to doing this is by using paintbrush. Open your original image and delete/erase the circles and use it as your image intead of the scanned one. And yes, you can define any shape you like in this approach.

So far as I know, you cannot "ungroup" a scanned image. The only thing I can think of is to make a copy of the image (so you can keep a copy of the original intact) - then crop what you want and cut/paste this to your PPT.
